Speaking with host Cokkie Tee, Nana Ama McBrown emphasized that she and her ex-husband remain on good terms, often communicating and meeting up as friends. “I’m the most happiest right now. I have gone through divorce… Me and my husband are cool. We spoke yesterday, we speak today, we speak tomorrow, we meet, I go to our house [to see] my in-laws and everything,” she said.
The actress explained that despite efforts to salvage the marriage, she and her ex-husband realized it was time to move on. “I was tired, he was tired. We sat down, we said let’s talk about it. Let’s move on,” she added.
Nana Ama McBrown praised her ex-husband, describing him as a “correct guy” and expressed gratitude for the precious gift they share – their daughter. “He is a correct guy. I still feel him but I got tired of the marriage,” she said.
The actress also revealed that the marriage, which was contracted under customary law, was dissolved with the involvement of both families. She expressed her joy in being a mother and stated that she has no plans to remarry, prioritizing her daughter and her personal growth instead.
