‎Ghanaian actress and television presenter Nana Ama McBrown shared the news of her divorce from Mr. Maxwell Mensah, describing the experience as a liberating one. The mother of one revealed that the decision to part ways was a mutual one, reached without bitterness or resentment.

‎Speaking with host Cokkie Tee, Nana Ama McBrown emphasized that she and her ex-husband remain on good terms, often communicating and meeting up as friends. “I’m the most happiest right now. I have gone through divorce… Me and my husband are cool. We spoke yesterday, we speak today, we speak tomorrow, we meet, I go to our house [to see] my in-laws and everything,” she said.

‎The actress explained that despite efforts to salvage the marriage, she and her ex-husband realized it was time to move on. “I was tired, he was tired. We sat down, we said let’s talk about it. Let’s move on,” she added.

‎Nana Ama McBrown praised her ex-husband, describing him as a “correct guy” and expressed gratitude for the precious gift they share – their daughter. “He is a correct guy. I still feel him but I got tired of the marriage,” she said.

‎The actress also revealed that the marriage, which was contracted under customary law, was dissolved with the involvement of both families. She expressed her joy in being a mother and stated that she has no plans to remarry, prioritizing her daughter and her personal growth instead.
